This month of April, I’m working on a game jam project. I think the isolation of being a solo dev has gotten to me because I feel far too dissociated from everything. Some days, it’s hard to even feel vaguely human.
I like to think that my writing is hilarious, but I can’t share any of it because it wouldn’t make any sense. Can’t share any shitposting memes either…because they also depend on spoilery content. I truly can’t win LOL.
Putting out a demo for Soul Shattering Star is impossible because of the assets bottleneck out of my control. I think more than anything, I want to put out a complete product.
Which leads me back to making a game jam. I want to put out something free, with nsfw content, without compromising on quality because there’s not truly anything like that on the market. Of course, I expect that I’ll have to go back later and polish certain things because it’s the sort of person I am. But completion is the goal here! And I don’t want to work in a bear cave for a bit!
The game jam project is called Steeped in You, and it is a horror otome VN that takes place primarily in a patisserie. It features a young confectioner who discovers that her boyfriend is doing very sus and yandere things.

I will be taking care of the script, coding, GUI, and music. I already have a sprite artist, but I’m looking for an CG illustrator to do ~4-5 images and background artist that can do 9 BGs. Ideally, I’d like their style to mesh well with the pastel aesthetics. If you know any who are interested, please send them my way!!
